Sept. 3rd 3 pm- order was placed for 26 kites. We will have 4 available for order. 2 Standard and 2 SUL. Sept. 4th 8 am- one of the SUL's is spoken for. At this time that leaves 2 Standard and 1 SUL available. Sept. 4th 10 pm- I have a tentative inquiry on a SUL. If this goes through I may try and change the assortment of the build. If you want in it is imperative that I hear from you right away. Sept. 5th 10 am- All sold! We reached a total of 30 and that will be all. Don't ask, no exceptions. Just spoke with Justin and he says that realistically we can expect to start shipping the second week in October. Fabric arrives next week and they will start then, could be sooner but as Murphy is no stranger to the kite business ,,, you never really know until the triangle box shows up at your house. Sept. 15th 2 pm- Fabric has been cut and lay out has started. We are right on track (as of this time). Oct. 7th 11:30 am - Sorry for the long delay in getting an update posted, but honestly there has been nothing to report. As of this morning it appears that the standards are done and the SUL's are in the process of being completed. I know that they are keeping busy over at Prism with other kites (like the 3D) that is getting back in to production. I have been assured that they are working hard on getting this project completed. Oct. 17th 11:00 am - Good News!
The Standard Pink Quantum Pro's are ready (scheduled for delivery on Monday so we should be ready to ship Tuesday at the latest) and the SUL's should be here in another 10 to 14 days. If you ordered an SUL only, please be patient Prism has assured me they are working as quickly as possible. If you ordered a Standard only you will be getting a PayPal request or your credit card will be charged this afternoon. Now if you've ordered both you have a decision. Take the Standard now or wait to get both when the SUL's are completed. I'd imagine most will want to get the Standard right away and we can certainly do that. There would be additional postage if we send separately and if that is okay with you let me know right away and I'll recalculate your balance due. For non-US addresses I do have to mention that the increase would be considerable so you might just want to hold on and get both at the same time. Oct. 20th 12:30 am - The Standards have arrived!
Oct. 21st 9:45 am - We've uploaded the image above (jpg format) in a few different sizes just in case you want to download it as your desktop background. Just right click on the link(s) below and save to your computer. Oct. 23rd 2:30 pm - Possibly the last update. The SUL's are leaving Prism today so the plan is to have them all shipped out by Tuesday the 28th. If you have been patiently waiting for yours you should be getting an email this afternoon letting you know that you'll be getting a PayPal request or that we'll be hitting your credit card tomorrow. Oct. 27th 4:430 pm - ALL KITES HAVE BEEN SHIPPED! Just a thought. If you are interested I'd be thrilled to post photos here of you with your new Pink Quantum Pro(s). If this sound like a good idea to you send me a photo (email address below). Please keep the size "reasonable" but no smaller than 800x600.
A total of 29 kites were sold through GWTW. $50 per kite was earmarked for contribution. Total contribution to the Susan G Komen foundation was $1450.00. $200 was donated directly by a customer (I have copies of the receipt for the contribution) and $1250 by GWTW. |

It all began on the Prism Support Forum.
Have Prism build a limited run of Pink Quantum Pro's and have a portion of the price contributed to Susan G Komen for the Cure.
Against the odds this loyal group of Prism fliers convinced Mark and the Prism staff to do this custom kite for them. Catch was that they needed a 30 kite order and it has to be submitted by September 3rd. Well they got about half way there so we have opened up this offer to the general public.
Here are the general guidelines:
Design - The final design is pretty much set.
The only variables at this time are the pink ribbon and Justin is working on exactly how that will be accomplished. Also, we have asked that either Breast Cancer Awareness, or BCA QPro lettering be included on the spine, with the normal QPro labeling. I will update you as soon as Justin works this out.
Pricing - The cost to you for either a standard or super ultra light (SUL) is $360.00 plus shipping via USPS Priority Mail insured. We will be making a $50 donation for each kite ordered to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. This is the best price we can offer and are unable to offer AKA discounts on this item, sorry.
Payment - Payment can be made by PayPal (preferred) or by credit card. We will need a non-refundable deposit of $180 for each kite ordered. We will need to have this deposit on September 3rd. At that time if we have the required 30 kites ordered you will receive a PayPal request for the deposit. The request will be sent first thing in the morning and we will need to have confirmation of payment no later than 3 pm (California time). If you need to pay by credit card you will be billed for the deposit the morning of the 3rd. We will need the balance ($180 plus shipping) on the date that Prism is ready to ship the kites to us. Again, payment can be made by either PayPal or credit card.
Availability - Building 30 custom kites is a rather demanding task and Prism is planning on having them completed by the end of September. I will be in touch with Justin at Prism on a regular basis and will update you on the progress.
Shipping - Shipping will be via USPS Priority Mail, insured. You will be billed actual cost on your final payment.

West Coast US - $11.35 or $16.35 for 2 kites
Midwest US - $15.05 or $22.20 for 2 kites
East Coast US - $16.10 or 23.95 for 2 kites
UK - $35.75 or $45.60 for 2 kites
Australia - $36.75 or $47.65 for 2 kites
Other shipping methods are available but Priority Mail seems to be the fastest and cheapest method for these kites.
